Linen

Linen is a natural fibre woven from the flax plant, prized for being lightweight, breathable, and quick to release heat and moisture — which makes it a warm-weather favourite. Its trade-off is that it wrinkles easily, part of its relaxed, lived-in look.

Linen's hollow fibres breathe and wick moisture better than cotton, which is why it feels cool in heat. It also drapes with a crisp, airy structure and softens with every wash. The famous wrinkling is intrinsic to the fibre — embrace it rather than fight it.

Linen can relax slightly with wear and shrink a touch in the wash, so fit is a little less predictable than a stable synthetic.
